David Moyes, Mark Hughes and Juande Ramos are reportedly battling to sign CSKA Moscow’s Vagner Silva de Souza (Vagner Love for short) in Januray. However, signing the Brazilian striker won’t be easy after the Russian club sold his former partner Jo to Man City in an £18m deal.

Last night Manchester City’s £18m summer signing Jo finally got off the mark for his new club with a brace against Omonia Nicosia in Cyrpus. This ended a four-match drought for the Brazilian since moving to Eastlands. He’d featured in two Uefa Cup clashes against Danish outfit FC Midtyjlland and two Premier League games without scoring.

Mark Hughes looks set to seal a swoop for Fluminese’s Brazilian midfielder Thiago Neves Augusto this week according to reports. The attacking midfielder can play centrally or on the left wing and should be available for around £9m.

It’s been reported that Chelsea have upped their bid for Real Madrid’s Robinho to £28.4m as they look to add the young Brazilian to their already impressive looking squad. Fresh from a 4-0 hammering of Portsmouth on the opening weekend, Robinho would add more flair and unpredictability to Felipe Scolari’s ever improving squad of players who look set to live up to their billing as favourites for the title as predicted by Football Pools Pundits Alan Hansen, John Barnes and Tony Cascarino.

David Moyes and Juande Ramos are reportedly battling to sign CSKA Moscow’s Vagner Silva de Souza (Vagner Love for short). The Toffees are looking for a replacement for Andrew Johnson at Goodison whilst Spurs may lose Dimitar Berbatov on top of already losing Robbie Keane so are scouring the market for replacements. However, signing the Brazilian striker won’t be easy now the Russian club have already sold his former partner Jo to Man City in an £18m deal.

The on-going transfer of Robinho to Chelsea has not ended according to the club’s Chief Executive Peter Kenyon. He told the official website, “One of the key issues over buying Robinho has always been that Real Madrid are looking for a replacement.”

Juande Ramos is lining up a swoop for Fluminese’s Brazilian midfielder Thiago Neves Augusto this summer according to reports. The attacking midfielder can play centrally or on the left wing and should be available for around £9m.The 23-year-old has been linked to a number of clubs including AC Milan, Manchester United and Palermo after some excellent performances in his homeland and in the Copa Libertadores. The 5 ft 11 star is renowned for his excellent passing ability and long-range shooting and could fill Spurs troublesome left-midfield position.

It increasingly looks like Andrew Johnson will be leaving Goodison whilst Spurs may lose all 3 of their main strikers so are scouring the market for replacements. Real Madrid’s Brazilian box of tricks Robinho has reportedly declared his desire to leave the club as Chelsea’s pursuit of the star begins to heat up. The Spanish champions have reportedly placed a £31.7m transfer fee on the head of Robson de Souza as contract negotiations have stalled at the Bernabeu and this week the player announced to the Spanish newspaper Marca, “I have the desire to leave Real Madrid.”
