The latter may not sound much of a highlight but it was certainly good (at the time) for Hull who won both games 2-1. They were though relegated come May!

Friday, September 5th, 2008The confusion over King Kevs position at Newcastle has been cleared up but was he left with any choice but to walk?First it was first claimed Kevin Keegan had been sacked before Newcastle United issued a denial then Kevin Keegan has resigned his post as manager. Put in charge by owner Mike Ashley to help turn the club around after Sam Allardyce’s disappointing reign, Keegan was loved by the fans. However, the recruitment of Dennis Wise as executive director (general ‘helper’) appears to have unsettled Keegan, while the club’s reported refusal to allow him autonomy over transfers finally sent him over the edge.
