Premier 10 Minute by Minute Review - 11 May

Congratulations to Manchester United who lifted their 10th Premier League trophy on Sunday courtesy of goals from that boy Ronaldo and Red Devil’s Veteran Ryan Giggs. And congratulations to Fulham as well who probably feel like they’ve won the league following their perfect rendition of The Great Escape. But hearts go out to Reading and Birmingham who, despite scoring 8 goals between them, still found themselves relegated.

Birmingham v Blackburn: Blues on Roque Road to Relegation Despite a Point?

Alex McLeish’s Birmingham side slipped into their lowest League position of the season following their dismal defeat at fellow relegation strugglers Fulham last weekend. Their future is no longer in their own hands as they lie a point behind the two sides they are competing with for survival. Unfortunately for the Blues they are about to face a Rovers team with their star forward on a superb scoring streak. That man is the prolific Paraguayan hitman - Roque Santa Cruz.

Premier 10 Minute by Minute Review - May 3, 4 & 5

So the penultimate Premier League weekend is over but most of the important contests throughout the League are yet to be decided. The title still lies in the balance, the race for 5th place will go to the final day and we still don’t know which teams from Fulham, Reading or Birmingham will go down. There were the usual shocks, Spurs won a game, Villa were beaten at home and Bolton are almost certain of survival. The Premier League table makes interesting reading at both ends with just 2 games left to play. Chelsea are now level with Manchester United as they go head to head for the title whilst there are a number of clubs still involved in the relegation battle. The added pressure in certain matches led to some shock results this week, no more so than at Eastlands where Fulham came back from 2 goals down to win 3-2. The title is still up for grabs following United’s dropped 2 points at Ewood which would have disappointed the vast majority of Premier 10 players who backed the league leaders. Elsewhere, the relegation battle took yet another twist with the Trotters jumping out of the bottom 3 at the expense of derby battered Birmingham. Premier 10 Minute by Minute Review – April 12, 13 & 14

This was a great weekend for Manchester United as they now have one hand on the Premier League trophy following their comeback against title rivals Arsenal. They’re now 5 points clear at the top of the table after Chelsea were stunned by a 1-1 home draw with strugglers Wigan. Both the title and the Champions League places now look assured so it’s the chase for Uefa Cup places and relegation that will go to the wire. This weekend’s Premier 10 fixtures offered the usual thrills and spills though most of the drama unfolded in the second half of games as 20 of the 25 goals scored this weekend came in the second period. Premier 10 Minute by Minute Review: March 29 & 30

There was no change at the top of the table as the top 4 all picked up wins this weekend though some made harder work of if than others. Derby became the first side to be relegated this season after failure to beat 2nd from bottom Fulham at Pride Park. There were a few shock results, none more so than Newcastle’s emphatic thrashing of Tottenham at White Hart Lane. Here’s your guide to when the goals went in!

It was another rollercoaster Premier 10 weekend as the top 4 went head to head on Grand-Slam Sunday and the whole of the North-East had something to celebrate as all three of their Premier League sides picked up important and in some cases surprising wins. There were also celebrations in Suffolk as the triple rollover was won by just one lucky player this weekend who picked up a cool £18,500 in the process!
