Preston v Crystal Palace: Another Crystal Clear Away Win?

It was a fantastic result for Preston on their opening day of the season. Their opponents Ipswich lost just once at Portman Road in the 2007/08 season and naturally hoped to maintain this impressive record during this campaign. And it looked likely after the Tractor Boys took an early lead.

Preston v Portsmouth - End of the road for Preston as Pompey win up north?

These two clubs haven’t played each other in 5 years but it’s Preston who have the better recent record. Portsmouth have won just 2 of the last 14 encounters with North End winning 7. The home side have an excellent record against Pompey at Deepdale. In fact, Preston haven’t lost there against the South Coast side for 35 years. That’s 6 home wins and 3 draws since Portsmouth last picked up a win at Deepdale.
