Chelsea v Manchester United: Who’ll Triumph Red or Blue?

Friday, April 25th, 2008

The title showdown between the current Premier League’s top two sides takes place tomorrow at Stamford Bridge as Manchester United and Chelsea go head to head. Sir Alex Ferguson’s team know the title will be assured if they can end the Blues 80-match unbeaten home run whilst a win for Avram Grant’s side would leave the destination of the 2007/08 League title hanging in the balance.

Reading v Manchester City: Citizens Slip Up as the Royals Resurgence Continues?

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

Reading finally ended an horrific losing run of 8 consecutive League matches last weekend with a late winner at Middlesbrough. Those 3 points should give the Royals real impetus to beat the drop despite remaining in 18th place in the Premier League.

Fulham v West Ham - Cottagers Home in on Survival Points?

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

Roy Hodgson faces his 4th London Derby this weekend in his short time as Fulham manager. He will be looking to end a run of 3 capital defeats against Chelsea, Arsenal and this weekend’s opponents West Ham. This is arguably the hardest match to predict of all the Premier 10 fixtures this week and with an estimated £12,500 jackpot to play for, it may be well worth covering your options on this game.

TOTTENHAM v READING - SPURS UP FOR THE CUP AT WHITE HOT LANE?

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

The year doesn’t end in one but Spurs FA Cup glory dreams will be rekindled with the visit of the Royals this weekend. Just 8 days before this match, these 2 sides played out a 10-goal thriller at the Lane and you can expect more goals in this one. Both these sides cannot stop conceding goals and in Tottenham’s case scoring them as well.

DERBY v BLACKBURN - ROVERS REGAIN PRIDE AT PRIDE PARK?

Friday, December 28th, 2007

The Rams almost picked up two impressive results in a week when they were minutes away from a draw with Liverpool on Boxing Day but there are genuine signs of improvement under Paul Jewell. This is perhaps a case of too little, too late to save them from relegation, after all they are bottom of the Premier League, 9 points from safety but at least they may take a few big name scalps on their way back to the Championship.

PORTSMOUTH v ARSENAL - GUNNERS REMAIN TOP OF THE CHRISTMAS TREE?

Monday, December 24th, 2007

The Gunners have recovered from their temporary North-East blip in form to win back to back home London derbies. Now it’s back on the road to Fratton Park for Wenger’s young guns but this is not a fixture Arsenal will fear. Portsmouth may have been in sensational away form this season but at home they have not scored for 4 matches. This barren run comes surprisingly after a 7-4 home win against Reading, it’s a funny old game.

DERBY v LIVERPOOL - BOXING DAY BATTERING FOR RAMS?

Monday, December 24th, 2007

Few would have expected Derby to get a point at St James’ Park on Sunday but with a bit of luck the Rams could have gone back to Pride Park with all three. Unfortunately Derby don’t get a chance to play against sides with Newcastle’s defensive frailties every week and certainly Liverpool don’t fall into that category. Despite conceding in the last 3 matches, the Reds have an excellent defensive record, especially away from Anfield where they boast the meanest defence in the Premier League.
