Classic Pools: 5th – 6th May
It’s the final weekend of the Football League season and the last chance for some desperate teams to secure promotion or avoid the drop. Relegation threatened Bolton have a must win game against Nottingham Forest in the Championship, while at the bottom of League One both Rochdale and Oldham will be eager to win their respective matches in order to stay afloat. 4 - Chelsea v Liverpool
Four of the last six Premier League meetings between Chelsea and Liverpool have finished 1-1, including the reverse fixture at Anfield this season.
Chelsea’s last three league matches were all on the road, they won all three beating Southampton 3-2, Burnley 2-1 and Swansea 1-0.
Liverpool have been held to draws in their last two league matches, drawing 2-2 visiting West Brom and 0-0 hosting Stoke last weekend.

5 - Everton v Southampton
Southampton have failed to win their last twelve league visits to Goodison Park but won 4-1 hosting Everton in the reverse fixture this season.
Everton are unbeaten in their last four league matches following two draws with back to back wins against Newcastle 1-0 and Huddersfield 2-0.
Southampton are in desperate need of points to avoid the drop and drew 0-0 with Leicester in their last away game before a 2-1 victory hosting Bournemouth last weekend.

6 - Leicester v West Ham
Leicester won both league encounters with West Ham last season 1-0 at home and 3-2 away, they drew 1-1 when they met at the London Stadium this term.
Leicester were trounced 5-0 at Crystal Palace last weekend and have drawn four of their last five league games at home.
West Ham need points to distance themselves from the drop zone where their poor goal difference could count against them, they come into this after back to back defeats of 4-1 to Arsenal and Man City.

12 - Bolton v Nottingham Forest
The last five times Bolton have hosted Nottingham Forest in the Championship it’s finished in a draw. Forest won 3-2 in the reverse fixture this season.
It will depend on Barnsley and Burton’s respective results but Bolton could do with a win to help their survival chances. The Trotters have only picked up 1-point in their last seven league games and were beaten in the last three at home.
Nottingham Forest followed their 3-0 win hosting Barnsley with a 0-0 draw with Bristol City last weekend.

17 - Ipswich v Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough have won three of their last five league encounters with Ipswich, who’ve won one and drawn one.
Ipswich have only won two of their last ten league matches, but one was a 4-0 hammering of Reading last Saturday.
Middlesbrough have won their last three league games 2-1 against Bristol City, 2-1 against Derby and 2-0 over Millwall.

Millwall and Aston Villa had a goalless draw when they met in the reverse fixture back in December.
Millwall were unbeaten in seventeen league matches before losing the last two 3-0 to Fulham and 2-0 to Middlesbrough.
Aston Villa had three league wins on the bounce before drawing 1-1 with Derby last Saturday.

In their last eight meetings they have three wins apiece and two draws. Cheltenham won 1-0 when they hosted in December.
Crewe come into this after back to back wins of 1-0 over Morecambe and 2-1 against Crawley.
Cheltenham have lost their last three league matches suffering a 6-1 humiliation to Coventry in the most recent.

Grimsby have the best of their recent head to head with Forest Green, winning seven of their last ten meetings, losing two and drawing one.
Forest Green beat Chesterfield 4-1 in their last league home game, but followed that with a 0-0 draw at Yeovil and a 3-1 loss at Luton.
Grimsby went twenty league games without a win but have ended the season on a high unbeaten in their last four league matches, winning three and drawing one.
