The Scottish League Cup returns this weekend and features in our Goal Rush competition along with matches from the Swedish Allsvenskan, Norwegian Eliteserien and Finnish Viekkausliiga.

Who’s Hot:

2 - Clyde v Annan

Seven of the last eight meetings between Clyde and Annan had both teams find the net. Five of those matches featured five or more goals.

Six of Clyde’s last eight matches had both teams score, including a 3-1 win over Airdrieonians for a friendly earlier this month.

Annan’s last five matches had goals at both ends, with three of the games containing six goals.

5 - Dunfermline v Elgin

They last met in the Scottish FA Cup in 2013 where Dunfermline had a 5-3 away win.

Dunfermline have kept a clean sheet in just one of their last fifteen home matches.  They were beaten 4-0 hosting Hibernian for a friendly last week.

Both teams have scored in seven of Elgin’s last ten matches.  Their last two on the road finished in 3-2 defeats.

11 - Peterhead v East Fife

East Fife beat Peterhead 2-1 in the Scottish League Cup last season and 2 of their 4 league clashes also had goals at both ends.

Peterhead won two of their last three home matches 3-0 and 3-2 but lost 5-1 hosting Forfar at the end of last season.

East Fife only failed to score in one of their last five matches and ended last season with a 2-1 defeat visiting Stranraer.

13 - Ross County v Alloa

Both teams have scored in ten of their twelve meetings from 2002 to 2016.  Alloa beat Ross County 3-2 in this competition last season.

In their last four matches Alloa have scored ten and conceded five.  They beat Stirling 2-0 in a friendly earlier this month.

23 - Malmo v Sirius

A pre-season friendly between these two back in February finished in a 3-1 win at home for Malmo.

League leaders Malmo have only failed to score in one of their fourteen league matches this season.  They had a 3-2 win over rock-bottom AFC United in their last league home game.

Sirius have only failed to score in three of their fourteen league matches this season.  They had a 2-1 win over Sundsvall in their last league away game.

Who’s Not:

1 - Berwick Rangers v Morton

Morton beat Berwick 2-0 in the group stage of this competition last season.

Berwick were beaten 2-0 hosting Hibernian for a warm-up friendly on Tuesday.  This was the fourth time they’ve drawn a blank in their last five home matches.

Morton won 3-0 visiting Stenhousemuir for a friendly at the beginning of the month.

7 - Falkirk v Stirling A

Only one of the last four meetings between these two had goals at both ends. Stirling beat Falkirk 1-0 in this competition last season.

Stirling are without a win in six matches and failed to score in four of those games.

Drogheda are the Irish Premier Division’s lowest goal scorers this season.  They’ve found the net just once in their last nine league matches.

30 - Odd Grenland v Viking
