Goal Rush: 14th April

Bournemouth have been consistently scoring goals and can get on the scoresheet when they visit Anfield. Huddersfield are joint lowest scorers in the Premier League this season and it could be a barren affair when they host Watford. Check out who’s hot and who’s not in our Goal Rush competition this weekend.

Who’s Hot:

2 – Crystal Palace v Brighton

These two met in the FA Cup in January where an 87th minute goal from Glenn Murray sealed a 2-1 win for Brighton at home.

Eight of Crystal Palace’s last ten league matches had both teams score, they drew 2-2 visiting Bournemouth in latest.

Six of Brighton’s last eight league games had goals from both sides, including their 1-1 drew with Huddersfield last weekend.

4 - Liverpool v Bournemouth

Bournemouth won 4-3 hosting Liverpool in the Premier League last season before a 2-2 draw at Anfield, Liverpool won 4-0 in the reverse fixture this season.

Liverpool have scored 12 goals in their last five matches, they beat Manchester City 2-1 in the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday.

Thirteen of Bournemouth’s last fifteen league matches featured both teams scoring, they come into this after back to back draws of 2-2 with Watford and Crystal Palace.

10 - Middlesbrough v Bristol City

Joe Bryan and Jamie Paterson scored 3-minutes apart to help Bristol City to a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture in early December.

Seven of Middlesbrough’s last ten league matches had goals at both ends, they were beaten 2-1 visiting Sheffield United in their midweek fixture.

Bristol City had a 3-1 victory hosting Birmingham on Tuesday night.

23 - Plymouth Argyle v Portsmouth

They had 2-2 and 1-1 draws when they met in League Two last season, Portsmouth had a 1-0 win when they hosted in November.

Plymouth have scored in all but one of their last twenty league matches.

Portsmouth have scored ten goals in their last five league matches, they drew 3-3 visiting Rochdale last weekend.

25 - Wigan A v Rotherham United

They met in the Championship last season and each won 3-2 at home, Wigan had a 3-1 victory visiting Rotherham this season.

Wigan are the top scoring team in League One this season and followed their 5-1 win over MK Dons last weekend with a 4-1 win against Rochdale on Tuesday.

Rotherham were beaten 3-1 by Charlton in their last away game but won 3-2 hosting Fleetwood last Saturday.

Who’s Not:

3 - Huddersfield v Watford

Huddersfield beat Watford 4-1 when the teams met in the reverse fixture in December.

Huddersfield are winless in their last five league matches and have only found the net once in that time.

Watford are struggling to score away from home only finding the net twice in their last nine league games on the road.

7 - Burton A v Derby

Burton won 1-0 in this fixture last season before a goalless draw at Derby. The Rams won 1-0 in the reverse fixture this term.

Burton are the lowest scoring team in the Championship this season and have blanked in five of their last nine league games.

Derby have kept clean sheets in their last two league matches beating Preston 1-0 away and Bolton 3-0 at home.

17 - Bury v Northampton

At the bottom of the table Bury and Northampton are the lowest scoring teams in League One this season and drew 0-0 in the reverse fixture.

Bury have lost their last six league games on the bounce and scored just two goals in the process.

Northampton are winless in their last ten league matches and lost the last four on the spin without finding the net.

24 - Walsall v AFC Wimbledon

Walsall won 2-1 on their trip to AFC Wimbledon in November.

Walsall have only found the net once in their last four league games at home and that was a 1-0 win over rock-bottom Bury last weekend.

AFC Wimbledon have scored two goals in their last four league matches, they had a 1-0 win hosting Charlton on Tuesday.

32 - Morecambe v Carlisle

After a goalless first-half Morecambe and Carlisle drew 1-1 when they met in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

Only three teams have scored fewer goals than Morecambe in League Two this season, they’ve blanked in three of their last five league games.

Carlisle come into this after losing 1-0 to Lincoln and drawing 0-0 with Swindon.
