Dundalk have a way to go in catching leaders Cork City in the Irish Premier Division but they can narrow the gap by taking three points from Bohemians.  New York City will be hoping to carry their good form into Canada when they visit Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS.

1 – Bohemians V Dundalk

2nd placed Dundalk have a comfortable ten-point lead over 3rd in the Irish Premier Division, but there is a hefty twelve points between them and leaders Cork City.  The can continue the chase and pick up three points from Bohemians on Wednesday.  The visitors have won their last four on the spin, scoring fifteen goals while keeping a clean sheet.  Mid-table Bohemians are enjoying a run of good form, but taking risks against a side of Dundalk’s quality could expose them.  Dundalk have won the last four clashes between the pair and can be expected to chalk up another victory.  Dundalk away win.

2 – Houston Dynamo V Montreal Impact

Houston Dynamo are in poor form and have won just one of their last eight league matches, but six of those games were on the road.  Back on their own turf they have the perfect opportunity to get three points, as Montreal have managed just one win in eight league away games this season.  Houston have also won the last five times they’ve hosted Montreal.  Houston Dynamo home win.

3 – Orlando City V Toronto

Orlando have won six, drawn three and lost just one of their ten league home games this season.  They’ve just played three away games on the spin, winning the last 1-0 over Real Salt Lake at the weekend.  Toronto are six points above them in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference and have struggled on the road recently, losing two and drawing one of their last three away from home.  All the goals came in the first-half when Toronto won 2-1 in the reverse fixture back in May and this could be another close battle.  Draw.

4 – Vancouver Whitecaps V New York City FC

New York City drew a blank in their opening league game of the season but then scored in all of their subsequent seventeen matches.  They are currently unbeaten in five games, but both teams have scored in four of those games.  Vancouver have been strongest at home this season, losing just two of their eight home games.  They drew their last match in front of the home fans 1-1 with Dallas, who are 2nd in their Conference.  However, confidence may have dropped as they were smashed 4-0 visiting Chicago at the weekend.  Draw.

5 – New England V New York Red Bulls

New England have lost their three league games on the bounce, but two of them came on the road.  They can recover at home where last month’s 2-1 defeat to Chicago Fire was their only loss from eight games on their own patch.  They’ve hosted New York Red Bulls four times since May 2015 and won all four games.  The Red Bulls have also been poor on the road this term, losing six of their eight away days.  New England home win.

6 – Portland Timbers V Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire can increase their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference by taking three points from a Portland side who’ve won just two of their last eleven league matches.  The hosts did manage a 1-1 draw with Western Conference leaders Kansas City at the weekend, but Chicago come into this match in really good shape.  The visitors are unbeaten in their last ten matches, eight of which were wins.  Their last two were decisive 4-0 victories over both Orlando City and Vancouver Whitecaps.  Chicago Fire away win.
